Why people look for Triple Whale alternatives

Triple Whale is a good product. People leave it for four reasons, and they're mostly about money and lock-in rather than features.

  • The 12-month term. Foundation, Automate and Enterprise are all 12-month subscriptions, even if you pay monthly (Triple Whale pricing). Cancelling needs 30 days' notice, and a contract can't be paused (Triple Whale help). Several one-star reviews in 2026 are about exactly this: being charged a full extra month with no proration (Trustpilot).
  • The price follows your GMV. Foundation starts at $219 a month for stores under $250K a year (Shopify App Store). Third-party trackers reported about $549 a month at $1M to $2.5M in August 2026 (Arktis). You move up a tier automatically as you grow.
  • The numbers differ from Shopify's. Every attribution tool counts a little differently from Shopify, and Triple Whale documents why its totals can differ (Triple Whale docs). That's normal, but for a small team it means reconciling two numbers every week.
  • The AI costs extra. Moby usage resets monthly and doesn't roll over, and reviewers mention buying credits on top (Triple Whale help).

So the right alternative depends on which of these is your reason.

The 7 best Triple Whale alternatives

1. Anry: for when the ads get clicks and the store doesn't sell

Anry follows every ad click to the visit and the order, finds where the money leaks (a page, a device, an ad sending the wrong people) and puts a price on each leak, counted in your store's own orders rather than in what Meta reports. It works inside Claude, Claude Code or Cursor through a read-only MCP with 16 tools, so you ask in plain words and your agent gets the fix.

Here's the kind of thing an attribution dashboard doesn't show. We ran a Meta campaign for anry.io optimised for landing page views. Meta delivered: A$122 of spend, 498 link clicks, 460 landing page views at A$0.27 each. Anry showed that about 98% of those visits never scrolled or tapped anything, and nearly all came from Instagram Reels and Stories. Mistaken taps, basically. We paused it. A click report would have called that campaign cheap traffic.

  • Best for: Shopify, WooCommerce and PrestaShop stores running Meta or Google ads who want to know whether the ad or the page is losing the sale.
  • Price: $99 a month up to 25K sessions, one plan with every feature, monthly, 14-day trial with no card (pricing).
  • The catch: Anry isn't a multi-touch attribution tool or a BI dashboard. If you need a pixel-based source of truth for every channel, look at the next two.

2. Polar Analytics: for cleaner BI without the Triple Whale contract

Polar is a Shopify-first BI tool with a semantic layer, so the numbers your team and your AI read are the same. It has an official MCP for Claude and ChatGPT, included in Core (Polar MCP).

  • Best for: brands that want one trusted dashboard and have the budget.
  • Price: Core from $750 a month, based on online GMV, with discounts for annual terms (Shopify App Store).
  • The catch: it's more expensive than Triple Whale's entry plan, and pricing is demo-led.

3. Northbeam: for heavier attribution and media mix modelling

Northbeam is multi-touch attribution plus MMM for brands spending across many channels. Its MCP is read-only and available on every plan (Northbeam docs).

  • Best for: DTC brands with serious multi-channel spend.
  • Price: Starter $1,500 a month for brands spending under $1.5M a year, month-to-month for Shopify; Professional $3,500 (Northbeam pricing).
  • The catch: the highest entry price on this list, and the bigger plans are annual.

4. Lifetimely: for profit and LTV, cheap

Lifetimely (by AMP) is profit and lifetime value analytics: a P&L, cohorts, forecasts. It connects to Claude and ChatGPT (AMP help).

  • Best for: stores that care more about margin and repeat buyers than about attribution.
  • Price: free, then $49, $149 and $299 a month, capped by orders per month (Shopify App Store).
  • The catch: it's profit-first, not an attribution tool, and Amazon costs $75 a month extra.

5. Lebesgue: for ad analytics under $100

Lebesgue combines ad and store analytics with AI advice, at fixed prices. It has an official read-only MCP (Lebesgue help).

  • Best for: small and mid-size stores that want ad reporting without a big bill.
  • Price: free, Ultimate $79 a month, Ultimate AI $149 (Lebesgue pricing).
  • The catch: its own attribution pixel jumps to $749 a month, and AI questions are capped at 10 a month on the $79 plan.

6. Heatmap.com: for heatmaps tied to revenue

Heatmap.com records where people click and scroll and ties each element to revenue.

  • Best for: stores that want to see which parts of a page earn money.
  • Price: Launch $199 a month, Growth $349, Scale $699, up to 32% off annually (Heatmap.com pricing).
  • The catch: MCP and API access only come with Scale at $699, and it doesn't read your ad spend.

7. Microsoft Clarity: free behaviour data

Clarity gives free heatmaps and session recordings with no traffic limit, and Microsoft publishes an official MCP server (GitHub).

  • Best for: anyone who wants to watch real sessions without paying.
  • Price: free (Clarity).
  • The catch: no revenue, no ad spend, recordings kept 30 days, and the data export API allows 10 requests a day (Clarity docs). If you're looking at Hotjar instead: it has merged into Contentsquare and new Hotjar accounts can't be created anymore (Contentsquare).

When Triple Whale is still the better choice

Stay if you rely on its pixel and multi-touch attribution as your source of truth across Meta, Google, TikTok, email and Amazon, and your team lives in its dashboard every morning. Stay if you use Automate's actions and creative tools, or Enterprise's MMM and incrementality tests. None of the cheaper tools above replaces all of that in one place. And if you're mid-contract, leaving early costs you the remaining months anyway, so plan the switch for your renewal date.

How to choose

  • Under $1M a year, tight budget: Lebesgue or Lifetimely for reporting, Clarity for behaviour, and Anry if your ads get clicks that don't turn into orders.
  • $1M to $10M, heavy Meta spend: Anry to find where paid traffic leaks on the site, next to Polar or Northbeam if you need full attribution.
  • Agency with 10 or more stores: look at per-store pricing and one login across stores. Anry bills each store on its own band at a partner rate on one invoice (agencies).
  • You mainly want an AI that answers questions about your data: check the MCP column first. Triple Whale's MCP needs a paid plan, so a 12-month term from $219 a month.

Where Anry fits

Anry doesn't try to be your dashboard. It answers one question the others mostly don't: which ad sent which visitors to which page, and where they left before buying. Then it hands the fix to your agent. A lot of stores run it next to a reporting tool.

Frequently asked questions

What's the cheapest Triple Whale alternative?

Microsoft Clarity and the free plans of Lifetimely and Lebesgue cost nothing. For paid tools, Lifetimely starts at $49 a month, Lebesgue at $79 and Anry at $99.

Is Triple Whale worth it in 2026?

It is if you need its attribution across many channels and you're happy with a 12-month term. For a store under $250K a year that mostly runs Meta, $219 a month plus a year's commitment is a lot for what you'll use.

Does Triple Whale have an MCP server?

Yes. It's official and read-only, but only on Foundation, Automate and Enterprise, so not on the free plan (Triple Whale help).

Can I cancel Triple Whale any time?

Paid plans are 12-month subscriptions. You need to give 30 days' notice before cancelling, and you can't pause a contract. You can drop to the free plan without losing your tracked data.

Which Triple Whale alternative works with Claude?

Anry, Polar, Northbeam, Lifetimely, Lebesgue and Clarity all have an MCP you can add to Claude. Heatmap.com only includes it on its $699 plan.
