Why people look for Heatmap.com alternatives

Heatmap.com is good at one thing nobody else here does as fully: it draws revenue on the page. Its pricing page calls it "revenue attribution per pixel", on every plan, with data kept forever (Heatmap.com pricing). The reasons to look elsewhere sit in the plan table more than in the product.

  • The price follows your revenue, not your traffic. Heatmap.com bills on your store's trailing twelve-month revenue, which it detects from the connected store (Heatmap.com FAQ). Launch covers $0 to $10M. A store doing $400K a year pays the same $199 as a store doing $9M.
  • The AI access sits on Scale. "MCP / API Access" reads "Not included" on Launch and Growth. It comes with Scale, $699 a month, the plan for $25M to $50M in revenue, which you get by booking a demo. The MCP itself is read-only and works in Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT and Codex (Heatmap.com MCP). If you want the data inside your own agent, that's the wall.
  • The human help costs extra. Two strategist reviews a month ("CRO Strategist Light") come with Scale only. Full-service strategy is a $1,000-a-month add-on on any plan (pricing).
  • It sees the campaign, not the cost. Heatmap.com connects to Facebook, Google, TikTok and X ads. Its help article lists what that tracks: sessions per campaign, devices, interactions, paths, and conversions if configured (Heatmap.com help). Spend isn't on the list. The money on the map is what visitors bought, never what you paid to bring them.

Every plan starts with a 14-day trial, and paying yearly saves "up to 32%". Growth adds custom onboarding. Scale adds the light strategist, a private Slack channel and a success manager. The add-ons: a Revenue Intelligence Pack at about $399 a month, a Data & Integrations Pack at about $499, the full-service strategist at $1,000, and concierge onboarding at $750 once (pricing).

The 5 best Heatmap.com alternatives

1. Anry: for a cost on the leak, and the ad that caused it

Heatmap.com scores the page. Anry starts at the ad. It follows each Meta or Google click to the visit and to the order, if there is one. It flags where paying visitors drop (a page, a device, an ad sending the wrong people) and puts a cost on each leak, counted in your store's own orders, not in what Meta or Google report. Deterministic code finds and prices the leaks. An LLM only writes the explanation and the suggested fix, and the fix goes to your own agent ("Ask Anry"). Anry never touches the store.

You don't lose the visual side. Anry has session replays and can generate a visual heatmap for a page.

Here's the row Heatmap.com's ad integration leaves out, from anry.io. Anry's get_campaign_spend tool puts what Meta reports (spend, clicks, impressions) next to the sessions and orders Anry counted on the site, per campaign or per ad. For our anry-us-starttrial campaign, 12 to 20 October: A$437.82 spent, 212 clicks in Meta, 233 sessions on the site. A heatmap tool sees the 233 sessions. Meta sees the A$437.82. Here they sit in one row, so your agent can weigh what a page leaks against what the ad cost to fill it.

Your agent reads all of it over a remote MCP in Claude, Claude Code or Cursor. You sign in with OAuth 2.1, and all 16 tools only read (MCP docs).

  • Best for: Shopify, WooCommerce and PrestaShop stores buying traffic on Meta or Google. Agencies too, since one login covers every store.
  • Price: one plan with every feature, billed monthly, starting below Heatmap.com's Launch. The MCP is on every plan, so asking in Claude doesn't need a $699 tier. Free trial, no card (pricing).
  • The catch: no surveys, and no revenue painted on each element the way Heatmap.com does it. It judges Meta and Google ads only, so TikTok and X campaigns aren't covered.

2. MIDA: revenue clicks on a Shopify budget

MIDA is a Shopify-only app rated 4.9 from 611 reviews (Shopify App Store). Its Growth plan adds revenue click tracking and conversion heatmaps. That's the closest thing to Heatmap.com's core feature at a fraction of the price.

  • Best for: smaller Shopify stores that want money on the map and don't need a strategist.
  • Price: free for 250 sessions a month. Basic $9.90 (5,000 sessions), Growth $24.90 (15,000) and Enterprise $44.90 (40,000, with API export and an MCP integration). Paid plans have a 7-day trial.
  • The catch: Shopify only, priced by sessions, and the biggest listed plan stops at 40,000 a month. The AI assistant costs $5 to $15 extra. The listing names the MCP without saying what it can read, so test it before you rely on it.

3. Contentsquare: the big-vendor route

Contentsquare is where Hotjar went: new Hotjar accounts can't be created and new users are sent here (Contentsquare). Its zone-based heatmaps score whole sections of a page. On Growth they show engagement metrics. Revenue metrics on zones come with Pro (Contentsquare pricing).

  • Best for: larger teams that want heatmaps, replays, journeys and surveys from one vendor, with a sales team to talk to.
  • Price: free up to 200k sessions a month with 1 month of data. Growth is $39 a month billed yearly ($49 monthly) from 7k sessions, with 13 months of data. Pro and Enterprise are custom.
  • The catch: the revenue view you'd be replacing sits on a custom-priced plan. Replays are sampled below Pro: 5% of sessions on Free, 15% on Growth. MCP calls are capped at 300 a month on Free and 36k a year on Growth. The Hotjar side of this story is in Hotjar alternatives.

4. Microsoft Clarity: free, with a purchase rate instead of dollars

Clarity is "a free service forever" with no traffic limits and no sampling (Clarity FAQ). Its conversion maps show "the percentage of all sessions that resulted in a purchase when a user clicks in a selected area", on projects where Clarity detects purchase events (Microsoft Learn). A rate, not a dollar figure. For a layout question, a rate is often enough.

  • Best for: stores leaving Heatmap.com mainly over price.
  • Price: free.
  • The catch: replays are kept 30 days and heatmap data 9 months, where Heatmap.com keeps everything (data retention). The official MCP runs on the data export API, which allows 10 requests per project a day over the last 1 to 3 days (Microsoft Learn). It reads Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, not Meta (Shopify App Store). Where that stops being enough is in Microsoft Clarity alternatives.

5. Lucky Orange: the behavior kit for less

If you used Heatmap.com's recordings and surveys as much as its revenue maps, Lucky Orange bundles both, plus live chat and funnels, with "all features available on all plan levels" (Lucky Orange pricing). Its heatmaps filter by traffic source, device and UTM campaign (Lucky Orange). There's no revenue figure on the element.

  • Best for: small stores that want recordings, heatmaps, surveys and chat in one Shopify app.
  • Price: in the Shopify app, free for 100 sessions a month, then $19 (500 sessions), $39 (3,500) and $89 (10,000) (Shopify App Store). Its AI, Discovery, is an add-on on paid plans.
  • The catch: tight session caps on the small plans, and we found no MCP. People leave Lucky Orange too, for their own reasons, covered in Lucky Orange alternatives.

When Heatmap.com is still the better choice

Stay if the revenue heatmap is the screen you open every week. Revenue per pixel across every page, with data kept forever on every plan, is the most complete version of that idea on this list. Stay if you're above $25M: Scale brings the MCP, two strategist reviews a month and a success manager, and $699 is a small line at that size. Stay if you want a person reading your data. The $1,000-a-month strategist add-on costs less than the CRO agencies that publish prices, which charge $1,495 to $25,000 a month (see what a CRO agency costs). And stay if TikTok or X drives your traffic, or your store runs on Webflow, ClickFunnels or a custom build. Heatmap.com covers those. Anry doesn't.

How to choose

  • Under $1M a year, leaving over price: Clarity for free maps, or MIDA Growth at $24.90 if you want revenue on clicks.
  • You want the answer in Claude or Cursor without a $699 plan: Anry has its MCP on every plan. Clarity's and Contentsquare's free MCPs are rationed. MIDA's comes at $44.90.
  • Most of your traffic is paid Meta or Google: Anry. A revenue heatmap shows what the page earned, not what the ad cost.
  • Big team that wants one vendor: Contentsquare, budgeting for Pro if revenue on zones is the point.
  • You used the surveys and want chat as well: Lucky Orange.
  • Picking your first heatmap rather than replacing one: our Shopify heatmap comparison prices 10,000 sessions a month across seven tools.

Where Anry fits

Heatmap.com and Anry both put money next to behavior, from opposite ends. Heatmap.com prices the elements on a page. Anry starts at the ad click, follows the visitor and prices the leak in your own orders, then hands the fix to your agent. If your traffic is mostly organic, or you mainly need a revenue map for a design review, you don't need Anry.
